One of my first assignments as a foreign correspondent in Greece back in 1979 was with Mutual Broadcasting System Inc. of Arlington, Virginia (from 1979 to 1988) of the U.S. which later became Westwood One (Westwood National Radio Corp. Inc.) and included NBC Radio Network News (from 1988 to 2000).

My first boss at Mutual was Charles F Eldridge, Director of News Operations and later Rachael Myers Lowe, Assignment Manager.
When Mutual became part of Westwood One, NBC Radio Networks was added meaning a network news programming to over 1,500 affiliated radio stations in the United States.
